History Repeating

250 years ago Americans had finally had enough of a broken colonial governance system and rebelled. The War of Independence was bloody but enabled the USA to implement a new democratic governance system unique to them.

250 years later that system is as broken as the colonial system was. The reasons for the rebellion - unfair taxation, high national debt and resistance to social change - are here again.

It's time for the American Reinvention.

Government of the people, by the people, for the people.

Scheduled for Spring 2026, Reinvent America! (RA!) will enable create a governance system unique to the needs of the US in the 21st Century

It will make real the bedrock ideals of "All people are created equal", "Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" and "Government of the people, by the people, for the people".

And it will establish the US as the first Citizen-led Democracy in the world, set a new standard for other DINOs (democracies in name only) to emulate and show leadership in the pursuit of Peace, Opportunity and Wellbeing for all throughout the world.

How It Works

The following is preliminary; to be finalized within GenR Rising.

Concept

Gathering a large number of people to plan a citizen-led future of America and American governance, coordinated by the GenR Rising Reinvention Platform.

Purpose

To give Americans hope and a pathway to a bright future.

They will:

Create an alternative to the current broken US governance system
Create America as the first Citizen-led Democracy in the world
Create the first step in Making America Really Great... Eventually and setting it up to lead the world to Peace, Opportunity and Wellbeing for all.

Inputs

20 million Americans aged 14 and up ("New Founders")
non-citizens are allowed to participate but not vote
Preparatory documents and how-to's

Citizen-led Outputs

A New Vision, the Desired Future for the Country
A New Constitution that reflects the USA of today
A New Electoral system, reflecting direct democracy
A New Way of Organizing, that supports the New Vision, New Constitution and New Electoral System.

In essence, New Founders answer the question, "In 2026, how would we set up the Country for greatness in the future?

Process

Members of the Rising determine the exact process
The Reinvention Platform is used for central co-ordination and voting
It is likely that some/several in person meetings will be held and televised/streamed.

Imagine

Imagine what it would be like to help deliberately create the future of America. What would you change? What would you keep?

One More Thing

This was one of the songs that made me really want to come to the US. Free as a bird - an impossible concept in my then world. Is it impossible in modern-day America? Can America be reinvented so the young people of the country can once again be FreeBirds?
